Navy and Wine Rustic Barn Wedding, Hamilton || Jess and Evan

Oh friends, I can’t help but get SO excited to share one of my new favourites with you! It was such an honour to capture Jess and Evan’s classy barn wedding, every detail was made with love and care and has a cute little story behind it.

From the moment I walked into the hotel room, I knew this day was going to be special. Jess’s mom was already tearing up as her baby girl is about to get married. And to top it off, one of the first things handed to me was a charming old Bible that the ring bearer was bringing down the aisle with the rings tied it. The Bible belonged to Jess’s great nan and inside held her great gram’s handkerchief, does it get any more precious than that? YES. Because when I first arrived to the ceremony I say this gorgeous archway and signing desk that Evan’s dad made. All of these things and so much more proved that this wedding wasn’t just a union of 2 people, but two people coming together, under Christ with a whole team of people that loved them and are cheering them on in the background.

Evan and Jess, I am so excited for the two of you, you have a spark that lights up those around you. Evan, the moment you look at Jess her whole face lights up and you can see her vulnerability and openness she has with you. May you two always strive to build each other up. Live everyday first for Christ, and second for your spouse and I know the Lord will touch many lives through both of you.

Okay, okay. I know I’m excited too. Here they are… some of the incredible, awesome and beautiful moments from the absolutely perfect day. Starting with the beautiful ladies, the Bible and SO much anticipation for the big day.

I can’t imagine a more beautiful way to start off the ceremony than to see the bride’s father so in love and proud of his daughter that he couldn’t hold back the tears as he gave her away.

Then to change up the mood, Pastor John jumps in and gets the first selfie with the couple!

They’re MARRIED! Meet Mr. and Mrs. Richardson.

Talk about a FUN group of friends, these guys laughed their way through this day.

Jess literally radiated all day long. With her gorgeous, classy style and one of the dreamiest bouquets I have ever seen.

But naturally, my favourite part of the day was spending the day with Jess and Evan. Their love for each other is not only pure and beautiful, but refreshing and full of joy.

Every detail was purposely beautiful and captured the love and adventure of these two??? From their lifetime of pictures behind their cake table,  to this adorable desk. Yes, that’s the one Evan’s dad made,. Yes, we’d ALL love to have that in our homes!

Not to mention their clean, crisp and stunning place settings and adorable succulents used as name cards.

Their reception finished the day off perfectly.

With stories that kept the room roaring in laughter.

And precious moments that brought some beautiful tears.

Literally every moment was precious, as they shared in so many firsts together.

And then finished the night off dancing their hearts out with all of those they love.

Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Richardson! I am SO excited for every adventure you two will have together.

Jess and Evan’s wedding day was truly like a dream, a huge shout out to the wonderful Meg Lowrie. She was SO much fun to shoot with, with her contagious joy, willingness to help in whatever capacity and beautiful heart. She truly helped capture the day perfectly.

Thank you SO much Aunt Nancy! This wedding was truly such an honour to capture. There was so much love and a genuine care and joy for Jess and Evan as they embarked on this new adventure. Also I have an odd feeling you may have been the connection to these guys, considering Andrea was the one to mention my name to Jess and Evan. So a huge thank you to you! haha
